The Commonwealth of Australia boasts one of the highest-quality and most respected education systems in the world. Each year, hundreds of thousands of international students choose the country for their studies.

Education in Australian state schools is compulsory for children aged 6 to 16. For international students, tuition is fee-paying. The educational process includes primary school (7–8 years), secondary school (3–4 years) and senior school (2 years — years 11 and 12). Graduates take examinations for a secondary school certificate that is recognised by universities around the world.
Higher education is delivered by universities (37 public institutions) and TAFE vocational education colleges. A key feature is its practical orientation and close ties with industry. Tuition for international students ranges from 28,000 to 60,000 Australian dollars per year for Bachelor's degrees and from 25,000 to 60,000 dollars for Master's degrees. The strongest fields are recognised to be engineering, information technology, medicine, business and management.
To study, you must demonstrate English proficiency. IELTS (6.5 for Bachelor's degrees, 6.5–7.0 for Master's degrees), TOEFL or PTE Academic certificates are accepted. International applicants can take English for Academic Purposes language courses at universities.
International students are entitled to work while studying for up to 48 hours per fortnight. After completing their studies, graduates can obtain a Temporary Graduate visa valid for 2 to 4 years, allowing them to work and subsequently apply for permanent residency.
The main advantages for international applicants are: the high quality and international recognition of Australian diplomas, broad employment opportunities during and after study, strong specialisations in engineering, IT and medicine, and the availability of transparent immigration pathways for graduates.
