Moving to another country to study is stressful even for the most prepared and motivated student. A new culture, a new language, a new education system, the need to handle everyday matters on your own — all of this can be a distraction from studying and a source of anxiety, both for the student and for the parents left back home.

Smart Edu Services understands these worries, which is why we offer continuous support throughout your studies. We do not disappear once the student has the visa — we stay by your side throughout the whole period of adaptation and beyond.
1. Constant contact
We are available by phone, email, in messengers (WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber) and even by video call. A student or parent can reach us at any time — and we always answer. We do not work on a «leave a request and we will call you back during business hours» basis. We work in the way that is convenient for our clients.
2. Help with administrative matters
On arriving in a new country, a student faces a host of bureaucratic procedures: registration of residence (Anmeldung in Germany, déclaration d’arrivée in France), opening a bank account, getting a local phone number, arranging health insurance, extending the student visa or obtaining a residence permit. We provide step-by-step instructions and sample completed forms, and in difficult cases we accompany the student to government offices or help remotely by power of attorney.
3. Legal support
We advise on matters of migration law: how to extend a visa, how to transfer from one programme to another, how to change status from study to work after finishing your studies, how to apply for permanent residence. Where necessary, we refer you to trusted lawyers who specialise in the immigration law of the specific country.
4. Guardianship programmes for underage students
For pupils and students under 18 studying away from their parents, we offer a full guardianship programme. Our professional guardian:
Represents the child’s interests before the school: attends parent meetings, signs permissions for excursions and events, receives reports on academic performance and behaviour.
Looks after the child’s health: accompanies them to the doctor, gives consent for medical procedures, ensures the vaccination schedule is followed.
Organises daily life: helps with buying the school uniform, textbooks, a mobile phone and a travel pass.
Keeps in touch with the parents: regularly sends detailed reports on the child’s academic performance, health and emotional well-being, and promptly contacts the parents in emergencies.
Arranges transfers and accommodation during the holidays: meets the child at the airport, sees them off on their flight, and where needed arranges accommodation with a trusted host family during long holidays.
5. Psychological support and help with adaptation
We understand that culture shock is a reality most students face in their first months abroad. We help recognise the symptoms of culture shock (homesickness, irritability, apathy, sleep problems) and give practical advice on how to cope with them. Where necessary, we recommend professional psychologists who speak the student’s native language.
